NOREEN CHARLTON


Noreen received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.

For more than a decade, she worked as a Crime Scene Analyst with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Senior Crime Scene Analyst, she was responsible for leading, overseeing and participating in complex scenes by photographically documenting scenes, searching for, identifying, evaluating and recovering physical evidence, processing, lifting and photographing fingerprints, and sketching and generating computer diagrams for scenes.

Throughout her decade of working in the field, she responded to thousands of scenes, to include more than one-hundred homicide investigations, thirty officer-involved shooting (OIS) scenes and multiple scenes throughout the 1 October Las Vegas mass shooting investigation. She was a recipient of the 2018 FBI Biometric Identification Award.

Along with completing a 375 hour Crime Scene Analyst academy, she has completed over 1,200 hours of continued training, in various aspects of crime scene investigations, to include courses in Shooting Incident Documentation & Reconstruction, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Documentation & Report Writing, Clandestine Labs, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings and Death Investigations.

In the State of Nevada, she has testified as an expert witness, in both State and Federal courts.

Noreen is currently a Product Marketing Manager at FARO Technologies. Prior to her current position, she was a Field Applications Engineer and Crime Scene Expert, where she instructed and supported thousands of public safety and forensic users document scenes and perform forensic analysis with a 3D laser scanner. FARO provides revolutionary forensics solutions for crime, crash and fire investigators that digitally capture the scene, analyze the data in 3D, and enable compelling and persuasive presentations for public transparency and trials.
